Farewell Minnesota…hello East Timor!

We are off to East Timor again!  We left Minnesota June 15th to begin a second  4-year assignment serving in East Timor through Global Ministries: www.globalministries.org.   We arrived in Bali, Indonesia on the 17th for a few days to get over jet lag and enjoy a bit of vacation before continuing on to Timor on June 22nd.  Thank you to all our friends and family who helped us pack and get ready over the past few weeks!

Thanks also to all the individuals, churches, Conferences and other constituencies that are supporting our appointment.  The purpose of this blog is to keep you informed about what we are doing and to share the story of our partner church, the Protestant Church of Timor Leste.  We hope that in doing so, you will feel like you are a part of it.  We’ll be doing our best to get a blog post up about once a week with pictures, stories and reflections about what we’re doing which we’ll share on Facebook.  We welcome your questions and comments!

Update: we arrived in Dili on 22 June and have had a great few days reconnecting with friends. We’ll be in Dili through July 9th for the IPTL’s General Assembly.
